Kosmo's Pizza and Grille

Tonight is the first night of March Madness 2019.  March Madness is not the Pizzanista's favorite time of year.  It's a time when everyone pretends to care about the athletic prowess of schools they've never otherwise heard of.  And really, nobody cares about a basketball game until the last two minutes, and then it's only fouls. At least that's my opinion.

Tonight we inaugurated March Madness with pizza from Kosmo's Pizza and Grille on South Street.  This is the Pizzanista's standby pizza:  they deliver within minutes of ordering, the price is reasonable, and the toppings are solid.  Since rating pizza is more interesting than Duke v. North Dakota, I've compiled the feedback of my multiple reviewers.

Overall, we rank Kosmo's pizza a B.  We are throwing out the C- score, that was more than one standard deviation away from the mean, and thus not reliable.  The toppings were generally regarded as excellent.  The Pizzanista would use the word "authentic" -- the cheese tastes like real cheese, the veggie toppings are fresh and crunchy, and the meat toppings were generously proportioned.  There is disagreement over whether the veggie toppings were sufficient.  The pepperoni was uniformly praised.

The sauce was....bland.  The Pizzanista was the least critical of all of the reviewers.  Others said it needed a little zip.

The crust is where things started to break down.  The Pizzanista thinks the crust is a solid, reliable crust.  It is the type of crust you are happy to have delivered to your door within 10 minutes after you arrive home on a rainy day...which is what Kosmo's consistently delivers.  There's no underestimating the value in that. Others, however, felt the crust was "too doughy", "not crispy enough" and "undercooked."  The Pizzanista feels the dough is a little "tough."

All said, Kosmo's is a solid choice for a reliable pizza. They deliver quickly, the topics are real, and the price is reasonable.
